Artist–Stone Temple Pilots
Album–Shangri-La Dee Da
Transcribed By–Jay Ochs
Bassist–Robert DeLeo
Ok, like all other STP songs, this is regular tuning. In this, I can
hear that Robert is using the Fuzz Distortion effect on the bass, but it’s not
a bigl amount, so if ya have Fuzz, use it. And like usual, there are some lines
where there’s more little –‘s between the numbers. That just means there’s a
slight pause where you hold that note for a little longer. Just listen to the
song as you do this, and it’ll sound great!
G————

A-2-0-2—–
E——–0— This is the beginning, do this 4 times.
Here’s the Verse:
G————————————————————
D————9-7—–5-7-5—7—-7-8-9—7-9—9-7-9—
A—7-7-7-7————————————————
E————————————————————
Here’s the Chorus:
G————————————————-
D——————–5—7—7-7-9–7-9-9-7-9-7
A–0—-0–0–7-7-5—————————–
E————————————————-
The little run that starts with the 7 on the A, I’m not sure if it’s exact, but
it sounds pretty cool.
