Tuning: Standard (E A D G)
The important thing in this song is the
effects. In order to sound right I use
two combiantions of effects. Indicated by numbers in the tab.
1- Octivider, Compressor, Bass Magnifier, Fretless Simulator
2- Octivider, Compressor, Bass Magnifier, Distortion
(If your using a fretless bass then obviously the fretless
simultor is not necessary)
The Intro and the main riff (1)
G|——0h5h6-0h5h6-0h5h6h7————||
D|-/7-0——————————–||
A|————————————-||
E|————————————-||
The A that this riff runs off of is taken very
far out of phase. Don’t expect to get your bass
to sound just like it. But fear not, you won’t
sound out of tune.
The pre-chorus (1)
G|————————————-||
D|————-/7———————-||

E|-5-5-5-5-x-x————————-||

The Chorus (2)
G|————————————-||

E|-5-x-x-5-x-5-5———————–||

E|-5-x-x-5-x-5-5———————–||

* One very important note is that these notes
are ‘double-slapped.’ This means that you slap
with your thumb and your pinky finger. So there
are more notes played then I show. I have only
shown enough for you to get the timeing down.
Listen to the cd and you’ll get it.
