Title: “Flake”
Album: Brushfire Fairytales”
tabbed by Roy Uno ([email protected])
I saw D.Yamaki’s version of the tab. It was good, but it was somewhat confusing,
so I thought I’d make it more easy to understand. Unfortunately, I don’t know the
slide guitar part melody for the interlude, so if anyone figures it out before me,
then please e-mail me.
I tried to show the strumming pattern as well as I could but, Listen to the song for
the strumming pattern.
The chords used:
Dm F Bb C5 A Fm C#5 B5
E—–5——1———————5——-1——————-|
B—–6——1———————5——-1——————-|
G—–7——2——-3——5——6——-1——6—–4——|
D—–7——3——-3——5——7——-3——6—–4——|
A—–5——3——-1——3——7——-3——4—–2——|
E————1———————5——-1——————-|
NOTE: For the Dm chord you may use the basic chord in the first position but
Jack Johnson plays it in the fifth position.
The “x” is in the place where he mutes/”chops” the strings.
So the song in tablature goes like this:
