Artist: Bert Jansch
Track title: Love Is Teasing
Album: Nicola
Tuning: DADGAD
Capo: 2nd fret
This is probably one of Berts finest guitar arrangements and has eluded me for some time.
He really sounds like he’s playing a 12 string but he’s not – it’s just his genius use of
octaves, open strings and tuning. I’m pretty sure it’s in DADGAD. I’ve attempted to learn
this tune many times and have given up, it’s just so hard to hear what he’s playing with
all the open strings and octaves, but tonight, armed with a bottle of wine, I think I’ve
had a good crack at it. This tune is not for the faint hearted, I think it’s one of his
most technical so watch out for the fingerings in some places. Bear in mind that it is
very possible with a little practice. Work closely with the record for the structure and
feel. You may find better fingerings than I have here and by all means contact me with
any improvements/mistakes etc. I have never seen a transcription of this tune, so I may
well have a first here! Have fun!
